Planning the the annual Parent leadership conference

In California we celebrate National Parent Leadership Month which is in February. Parents are celebrated and encouraged and recognized as leaders in the community and given tools to use to further their role as community leaders. In the past The Office of Child Abuse Prevention has done the planning and implementation of the National Parent Leadership Conference but this year the California State Parent Team has been given the honor of planning and implementing the Conference with a committee of about 40 stakeholders, agency and staff. The CSPT is honored to share in this important event. We hope we are setting the tone for other parent organizations to do the same for the future with the hope of strengthening our community and keeping our children safe and our families strong.
